An improved 51Cr release assay for cytotoxic lymphocytes has been developed. The assay system combines the technical advantages of a titration tray method with a modification which enables a more quantitative measure of the cytotoxicity of sensitized cell preparations in a shorter time. A simple mathematical model describing the cytotoxic lymphocyte—target cell interaction has been
shown to apply to this system. The advantages and limitations of the assay system are discussed and the recommended procedure is described in detail.
Semidiscretizations of reaction-diffusion equations are studied and special attention is devoted to symmetric solutions. Indoor and outdoor 222Rn concentrations and their diurnal variations with atmospheric air pressure, humidity and temperature were studied Nike Free Run 5.0 in the southwest coast region of India using AlphaGUARD PQ-2000PRO and accessories. The indoor 222Rn concentration varied in the range 7–64 Bq m−3 with a mean value of 32 Bq m−3, and the outdoor concentration varied in the range 3–35.2 Bq m−3 with a mean value of 15.7 Bq m−3. The mean annual effective doses were 0.81 and 0.1 mSv for indoor and outdoor, respectively.
