The recent experimental results which indicate that the dislocation density is independent of stress in the power law creep region has been examined by a computer simulation investigation. The purpose of the present investigation was to determine whether a physical-phenomenological model could be developed to account for these results. A model was developed which predicts a stress exponent of 4 for the power law creep region and a dislocation density independent of applied stress.
